R.C. Palmer Secondary School in Richmond, BC, began as a junior high in 1959, named after magistrate Robert Cecil Palmer, and became a full secondary school by 1996. After a devastating fire in 1976, the school was rebuilt and officially reopened in 2000, eventually evolving into a full Grade 8-12 secondary school.
